PSW Program
Our caring team of PSWs strive to ensure that personal support services are accessible for eligible residents requiring assistance in order to live safely and securely in their own homes for as long as possible.

Our PSWs provide personal care such as showering/bathing/dressing assistance. Additional tasks such as light housekeeping, laundry and meal prep as required. We also provide hours of respite so that caregivers can leave their loved one in the care of a qualified PSW.

We are staffed with a part time RN and five PSWs. Our catchment is from Echo Bay through to Bruce Mines including all of St. Joseph Island.

The PSW Outreach Pilot Project has been providing services in the homes of seniors and those with a disability since April of 2021. The funding for this program is from the Algoma District Services and Administration Board. Their support has made it possible to create and operate a program that has been much needed in our area.
Every effort is being made to find permanent funding for this innovative program. Receiving support through targeted donations to the PSW Outreach Program, Township of St. Joseph helps us sustain this service and is much appreciated.
